The textile used for this dress uses organic cotton produced by the MG Gramodyog Seva Sansthan Foundation [MGGSS], West Bengal. The foundation's primary focus is on promoting Indigenous Variety cotton or Desi Cotton, a rain-fed crop indigenous to India grown with no harmful chemicals like pesticides or insecticides.
The stunning blue is hand-dyed using natural indigo plant by the award-winning SIDR Crafts run by brothers Abduljabbar Khatri and Abdullah in Kutch, India.
